This is a keeper league...15 person keeper league and I need pitching. I dont really want to get rid of Utley, but for manny and decent pitching may be worth it. I was offered the trade on top...what do you think????

I agree that it depends on how many keepers you get for next year. Would all of the players involved in both trades mentioned be able to be kept for next year?

If so I would take the 2nd one in a 15 team keeper league if you need pitching. Kershaw will get better and Dice-K is good. Manny is older, but can still hit, and has a few years left.

As far as the first one, I am not sure. I liked the deal originally, but then I realized that Upton probably won't have 2B eligibilty next year, and even though he will be a great OF, you probably would be weak at 2B next year. Now I guess if you have these 2 OF next year, and another good one of your own already, you could make up for the weakness with your strength at OF, but I would seriously consider whether you could afford that next year. I might do the deal anyways, but it depends on who you could get at 2B for next year

It kind of depends on how many keepers you get per year.  but, if your need is pitching, then option 1 doesn't really do much for you.  so... go for the counter.

Try the counter i dont think it would work but if it does work u stole 3 great players on that team but if he soent recounter u still get 2 great players in manny and upton

manny in the of and upton would replace utley good mave and manny is heating up as a dodger

The team that gets the best player wins the deal. Utley is the best player. Don't make the deal.
