Should I make these Pickups in Fantasy Baseball?

Should I drop Jason Varitek, Bos C, for Ryan Doumit, Pit C, OF?

Also should I hang onto Aaron Rowand, SF OF, Jay Bruce, Cin OF, Howie Kendrick, LAA 2B, Xavier Nady, Pit OF, and Ryan Zimmerman, Was 3B, who is on the DL15? or should I drop or try and trade any or all of them? The top 10 free agency picks (Not Icluding Doumit) are Joe Crede, CWS 3B, Raul Ibanez, Sea OF, Jim Thome, CWS DH, Ryan Church, NYM OF, (Currently on the DL15), Chase Headley, SD 3B, Jeremy Hermida, Fla OF, Alexi Casilla, Min 2B, Marcus Thames, Det 1B, OF, Luke Scott, Bal OF, and Rickie Weeks, Mil 2B.

Varitek is a good catcher in general but fantasy-wise he is not up to par so far this year. I would definitely pick up Doumit hes been hitting extremely well this year and also has some pop in his bat.......

Hang on to Rowand, Kendrick, Nady, and Bruce because they all have potential to be quality fantasy contributors. As for Zimmerman though it's a tough call. He had a great year in 2006 but last year his BA dropped by 20 points into the 260's or so and this year he isn't showing signs of improving it again back to his 2006 form when he batted near 290 with over 100 rbis....

I would pick up Ibanez without a doubt. He is a very solid and proven player who will hit around .290 at the end of the season, drive in over 100 runs if the Mariners get some men on base (which is looking grim right now), and he will also give you some power in your lineup. (20-30 hrs)

and keep an eye on Marcus Thames he has been red hot

I'd drop Varitek for Doumit. Varitek a good catcher in real life, but he's not the best fantasy guy. Aside from getting injured, Doumit has been solid this season. I'd drop Jay Bruce for Ibanez. Great potential guy versus proven guy. I'd hang on to Rowand, Kendrick, Nady and Zimmerman. The only other player that you might want to pick up is Weeks, but I'd wait until he comes off the DL and starts producing. Good luck!
