Should I move 2 hours away???

Question

Last year my boyfriend was living 2.5 hours away from the city I live in while he was in college. (we're both 25) We managed but it was so hard. We missed each other a lot.

We lived together this summer and even though we had really bad luck for the whole summer we got along so well! We really love each other and talk only about our future together and dream about when we get to buy a house together. It's only now I'm thinking how it would be nice to move away with him and have a really nice house to ourselves.

This year he's only moving 2 hours away to a smaller city than where I live. He suggested I move too (ages ago) in passing conversation but I said "I wish" and that was that. He'll be living rent free in a house owned by his mother alone and it has 3 bedrooms.

I have no job at the moment, except some freelance journalism work.

The reason why I'm hesitant is he'll be in college using their facilities a lot a lot (45 mins drive from the house) and I'll be on my own a lot except when/if I'm working. I don't want to end up being a distraction to him and spoiling his final year in college.

What should I do. I want to move but I don't want him to say yes because he has to and I don't want to hold him back. Another reason I'm considering the move is there's a night course about 10 from the house in a radio station which I have been accepted for. Its only one night a week but when the same station saw my journalism/music industry experience they asked me to go for an interview for a job there!

There is more of an opportunity there for me to break into radio as the stations are smaller. Also we both have cars.

So really what's annoying me is:

Will I make friends there? Will I get a job? Will himself behave and stay in college until he gets his work done rather than coming home to have fun with me?

I'm confused what should I do?

You'll never never know if you never never go.  Try it and go back if you can't make it work.  There's a saying:  'suck it and see'  (it's not meant to be rude - even if it sounds like it is) and it fits your situation pretty well.  Talk to your guy first.
