  1. It's all in your preference. The fact that it is really dark makes it sound like not such a great place to be spending all your time. It varies person to person, but I know I get quite depressed when I don't get enough light. However, if you can't stand your room, need your own bathroom, etc., then it might be a good move for you. Or if you are usually in a different room of the house during the day that does get light (like the living room or kitchen), then it may not matter so much and the basement might be a better fit. Why don't you try staying in the basement for a couple days or a week and see how you feel about it?

  2. get a nightlight and just think how could they possibly exist and also why would anyone go to your basement ground floor is closer and your also safe from hurracanes down there and personally i am a tweleve year old who lives in a shed trust me its great

  3. I would move in the basement for the Summer if it's too hot upstairs. Get some lights and night lights  this way you wont be in total darkness.

  4. move into the basement, for sure

just play some music all the time

and always have a small lamp on...

if you have a dog, make him/her sleep down there with you,

    so you'll feel protected....

if you go to the basement,

you could play music really loud,

    have more privacy, and

never have to wait for the bathroom!

but always have some sort of noise on,whether it's a noise machine, or just the radio, then if their is ever a weird noise, you won't hear it

  5. No there's no ghosts in the basement silly..

I think you should go for it! Get some funky lamps and it'll add more lighting.. The only down i can think of it's basement smell, but that can easily be fixed by adding air fresheners you plug into the wall like the glade plug ins, or some of those really good smelling ones (wallflowers from bath and body works)

add a couple of rugs, cool decorations and you'll have your own secret getaway.. No one to bug you, your own bath which is like a plus + .lol.. OMG! That's cool, you can have your friends sleep over and hang out with you.. Add a small T.V. and of course internet always works downthere cuz i've always been able to go online in the basement.. You're gonna love it!

  6. In most places it isn't legal to have a bedroom in a basement unless there is a window a certain size for a fire escape.  You might want to check city code for where you live.
