Should I move my funds to LGPS?

I have several pension policies with Sun Life Financial of Canada, one of which was converted from my old civil service pension back in the 90s. I'm now working for local government after returning to the UK from 10 years living in the US. Should I add my funds to the Local Government Pension Scheme or leave them where they are?
