Should I move to London, England for 2 years?

I recently graduated from high school and Ive been thinking about going to the Uk on a work vacation visa, but i am worried that when i come back home that i will not be in touch with any of my friends.

should i just do it and try and make new friends when i come back?

  1. What citizenship do you currently hold?  My guess is since you said "vacation", you're American. If you are an American citizen, you are not eligible for a working holiday visa. Here's some more info:

  2. If you can get over there, you should just do it and forget about the friend situation.  Your friends will still be there if they're good friends.  

    I've moved around a bit, in the UK and now abroad, and some friends I've always kept in touch with and some have fallen by the wayside over the years, which is fine - the ones I've kept in touch with were the ones worth keeping in touch with!  But you should never sacrifice your own life experience for the sake of friends.  They'll all be off to work or college or whatever soon and they'll make new friends there, so why shouldn't you do the same?  You will still always have that growing up bond that will never leave if they're friends worth keeping.

    So that's my advice - if you can go, do it and see where life takes you.
