I am 6 months pregnant with my first child. It is going to be a boy. My partner and I have been arguing over names and I really like the name 'Panic'. I told him about it and he likes it too, but should we actually name our baby that? I think it's a lovely name and it goes with our last name 'Anderson'. What do you think?

  1. No.

  2. no, that is a terrible name. it sounds like your reaction when you found out you were pregnant.  not a nice legacy for your child.

  3. Can you imagine being in middle school with the name Panic? Or being on the playground with the name Panic? It's your choice, but take that into consideration.

  4. YEAH!! u should totally do it!!! That'd be hot!! AWESOME!!

  5. Honey, please reconsider. Unless you give him a middle name like James so you could call him "PJ".....He will be so teased and hate his name.....You want his name to be something he is proud of, not something he will try to hide.

  6. Cool, he will be Pan Anderson for short.

  7. he'll end up having his name changed as soon as he's legally allowed...don't do it

  8. god no. the poor kid would suffer from anxiety!!!

  9. Names have power, and a child always seems to act like their name. A girl named Stormy will probably have a lot of trouble in her life. Jacob means trickster, and I have one, and every mother I meet has a lot of trouble with her Jake. Do you want your child to feel panic all the time?. It is not a positive word or name. Panic is a terrible feeling.

  10. No, too tease-able. Try again.

  11. hellllll nooo< gavin is cool and kinda untaken

  12. No. Especially if the kid did happen to panic a lot. Mann he'd hate school

  13. 3 words

    HIGH SCHOOL h**l

  14. It really does have a negative connotation to it. Are you naming him after Widespread Panic? If so, why not name him after one of the guys in the band.

Come on...you know your kid is going to go through h**l with a name like that. Be nice to your baby!!

  15. i have to wonder how old you are that you would think this was a good idea?

Can you imagine going through life with that name?

Put yourself in the kids shoes in school and with other kids and yelling for him in the park.

Such a horrible thing to do to a child

  16. You must be kidding. But in case you're serious, here's my suggestion--search for a name that sounds similar to "panic" BUT is a regular, standard male name. Short 2-syllable names would go well with your last name.

  17. I prefer Fear Factor or Horror.

How about you name your baby an actual name?

  18. Well give him a much better less negative associated name.

Besides you should wait till you see him and see what type of energy he is.  After all he may live up to his name, and would you really want that.

Picture a calm assertive leader type, perhaps Cesar might be a better name :o)))

Or look for some meaning in your ethnic background and find a name that goes with Anderson ~ check where this name came from and look for place names or try your maiden name as his first name (very common in our area)

  19. Bad Idea... asking for ridicule. Please reconsider.

  20. Yes you should name your baby Panic. And his middle name should be Atthedisco.

Panic Atthedisco Anderson. That has a beautiful ring to it.

    You are kidding right?

  21. Good way to insure he'll get get his butt kicked at every recess.

  22. it sounds like a really nice name and if you two like it, then you two should go for it, but then you must think about the child. there might be a chance that he will get made fun of. so in the end you two must think if the name name has more pros than cons.

  23. It is a really bad idea, just because he will be teased badly. I am all for naming your baby whatever you like, but PANIC, are you serious?

  24. LOVELY! not.. DONT NAME A CHILD THAT. it's horrible. PANIC ANDERSON? that sounds like a stupid rap star name. omg . poor babyy. i feel sorry for the child.

  25. I like it. It's cute. : ]

I wouldn't use it as a first name tough.

    People judge.

Imagine if he was trying to get into a college.

    Panic Anderson .

    It's kind of silly.

I still really like the name though. I think you should use it as a middle name. : ]

  26. Are you joking?

If you aren't please reconsider the name! Go through the pro's and con's!

  27. LOL

  28. NOOOOOOO!!!

    Don't do it!!!!!
