  1. I studied at University College of London, which I think is a little different, but London is by far the most fun to study at.  You have the combination of a great school and a great city social life.  It is probably not quite as safe as some of the others, but it's still very safe in most parts of London.  I'm a single girl who could often walk by myself through a majority of London without problems.

  2. it depends on the course you want to go on and the things that intrest you. London is great, but it's a huge city. Manchester is the 2nd/3rd biggest city in england and it has plently of shops, nightlife and depending on the subject, its normally a pretty good uni. York's good, again depending on what you study there, the city's old, but is a lovely place. Warwick is apparently nice, it was my sister's 3rd choice. go see the unis for yourself if you can to get the feel of them, meet the people who will be teaching you and find a course you'll enjoy. also make sure they have a good pastoral care system, as you'll be far away from home and see which do special scholarships for international students maybe.

    hope that helps xx

  3. Well, London has the obvious advantage of being the capital, but I think it can be a bit overwhelming and it's easy to feel isolated - plus it's very very expensive.

I'd opt for Manchester- it's a vibrant city, with a history of music and clubbing for when you want to let your hair down.

All of those have good reputations academically, so none of them is a bad choice.
