Gordons in a terrible slump but if you look at their numbers theres not much difference except the avg. Kotchman .312 and Gordon .265

  1. It really depends on who your 3B and 1B are.

That said, Kotchman is a pretty safe pick. He has always hit above .300, and this year seems to have more pop than before. He also gets a decent amount of doubles.

Gordon will probably be a star at some point, but it might not be soon. Plus, the offense around him is the worst in the American League. I routinely pick up pitchers for one start who are facing The Royals. Gordon will get little protection from the guys around him.

    Good luck.

  2. Id pick up Kotchman, hes having a breakout year.  And like the guy said above, hes got a lot better players around him to help pick up RBI's and runs scored, although Vlad has been struggling.  In my league Gordon is a free agent and Kotchman is taken...by me.  haha.

  3. I think that you should do it personally.  I do think that Gordon will be a more productive major leaguer in the long run, however you have to take a look at who Kotchman has around in the line-up:  He is going to help accumulate nore runs as opposed to Gordon who is on the Royals, a team that isn't quite as successful as the all of suden alive Angels.

    Best of luck!

  4. I think you could be fine with Gordon. Depends on who you have on 3b as well. Since Gordon has the eligibility to play on 3rd. I think as the season goes on he will break out of the slump and produce more runs. Although in the other hand. If you are looking for a "rent-a-player" you SHOULD pick up Kotchman. (Have him on my team as well)
