  1. not sure why this question needs to be asked on here-if it is still painful even though you've taped it up...I'd say it still needs some time.  Take anti-inflammatory's and ice regularily.

  2. Any trainer will tell you.....only time and rest will heal something that you've hurt.  If you feel you can play without too much pain, then it's probably not too bad.  I like to play through my pain all the time, but I get lectured for it....but, in my mind it always seems worth it.  If you do decide to play, please make sure to wrap it with some athletic tape so you don't injure yourself further.

  3. this is defiantly a good time to prefect footwork and work on jumping

  4. Ask a doctor, or someone who knows about such things, so as to get the idea - what is the standard thing to do?

eg. I injured my back, by over exercising - playing way too much volleyball, anyway when it gave out - I thought I could still play a little (for the last 10 or so minutes) - big mistake! I couldn't do anything - and just hobbled around. I should have just walked off court - saying I was ill, etc.. they could see I wasn't playing as usual too.. Anyway ... the next morning, I could hardly get up at all - because when your back goes, that's it - you can't do much at all.  Anyway, I just did nothing for the next 5 days - complete bedrest - and so, when it came to playing volleyball again, I'd thought I'll just carry on ... and amazingly my back was OK.  I did play a very very careful first game, and for the rest of the week, played very very carefully all the time.  And so, I was very very lucky...

I should have seen a doctor, but didn't - when your back goes - you're not mobile..

Last year I did get a very bad little finger injury - it was black and blue from a full impact on a hard serve with a hard volleyball.  It took a full month before it even started to slowly recover.  I kept on playing volleyball, and was very lucky it didn't receive any kind of contact on it - or else it would have taken longer to heal...

I really don't know about wrist injuries - what is the usual healing time, whether it's OK to use it still?

If you have to stop to aid the healing -- do it..  If you carry on, with it --- be very very careful when playing - and don't use the techniques which use that wrist...  You can't play normally, that is for sure. (even cover the wrist with something, so that it is protected)

  5. You could. Just keep to bumping. Try not to spike, set, or block.

  6. are u feeling the pain while playing???

    if not....

i think u can play... bcos sometimes playing also cures the sprains.......

  7. I'd rather you not play for a while, maybe for a couple of weeks or so. You might injure yourself more if you keep playing. Put hot/cold compress once in a while on the swollen part, it helps circulate your blood. That's all I can say, excpet maybe "Get well soon!" =)

  8. Uh oh!!!  block its very easy to break fingers or wrist

in ur case wrist might be weak....and u like playing volleyball

take a forearm elastic (rubber band), to be safe from the activities and wrist movements...

also do some ice-healing with creams

I had it to and when I'm do bicycle...my wrist pain

    take care!!!!!!!

  9. absolutely not! i really don't think you should that would just put it in more pain i really suggest you shouldn't

  10. Depends if you play 3-hit ball and play bump, set, spike.  If so, then you should prolly hold off playing considering if you bump a lot of times you may hit your wrist and if you set you are almost exclusively using your wrists.  So it's up to you and how you feel.

  11. if you like me you will do anything to play volleyball...but not if you think you may hurt it foe good. if i were you i would go back out there and play! i would die with out volleyball!

    hope it helps!

  12. if you love to play the game then nothing should stop you.
