Should I play acoustic or electric guitar?

I'm starting a country pop/pop/rock band, and i'm the lead vocals. i wanna play the guitar too, and i was wondering which kind i should play: acoustic or electric?

i already know how to play the piano/keyboard and the flute. do u think it'll be easy for me to learn?

I think you should play both that way you can mix them together.

Electric is a little easier to start with cuz you can hide the errors with distortion. However, some of your tunes may not desire distortion so....I would go for both. Both have purposes in the type of music you mention. A good choice of electric for your type of band could be a Telecaster. Good for country and rock.

Depends to som extent on what type of music you want to play and the other insturments.  If you're not sure, maybe try each at a store and see which one appeals to you more.  You can always switch later.  Rock on!

Well it depends...if your band likes having a chill sound I'd probably go with acoustic but if you guys really rock out go for electric.  There are some acoustics that you can turn into electric if you wanna go for that.  I've heard from some that acoustic is harder to learn how to play but I learned both easily...so I guess it depends on the muscian.  It will be really easy for you to learn since you play piano and flute already.  You won't have to transpose cause they all have the same key.

Both.. have you started playing guitar? Are you asking which to start on? The answer would be acoustic. It's more difficult and will get you used to guitar.. then when you switch to electric it will be easier.

If you are asking whether you should play electric or acoustic in your band.. the answer is both. Different guitars for different types of songs.
