  1. Go ahead and offer it, but I prefer to offer a good calcium load in the diet. It is cheap insurance if the tortoise eats it- mine never do.

  2. yes you can put it whole in the enclosure or grate it over the food, i have a cuttle bone in the pen with my tortoises and they do chew on it, but i also include a calcium supplemnet with their food as well so that way i know they are getting plenty of calcium to keep them healthy, best of luck with your tortoise honey

  3. Yes you can but my tortoises have yet to express an interest in it. You could otherwise use a good calcium and vitamin supplement such as nutrobal. Please ensure you feeding your tort the correct diet too by consulting the tortoise trust website.

  4. Yeah definitely, i have 2 spur thigh and they love it. It keeps there mouth/ beak short.

  5. yes you should, as alot of them will scrape at it ,but dont use at as the main source of calcium.Thats best of done by using a calcium powder and sprinkle it over your tortoises food.the cuttlefish is there so they have a supply if they think they need a bit extra.good luck.

  6. yes or some other form of calcium its just cuttle fish is cheap avaiable and one of the best choices around

  7. definitely. i have a russian tortoise and he ignored it at first but then started to eat it every once in a while. it's quite noisy :)

i think it's a really good idea to give them something to supplement their calcium intake when they feel like they need it and it's also good for trimming the beak a bit. i buy it for about 30 pence.
