Question:

Should I pursue the law or medical track?

I am currently a junior in college and, because I came in with so many ap credits and took a variety of courses, am still able to go pre-med or pre-law. However, the time has finally come to make my decision. I have always loved medicine/sciences, but I am also very passionate about basic human rights in third world countries as well as the death penalty world-wide- hence the consideration of pre-law. However, I don't know how accessible a career in that type of arena would be. Finally, my main concern is that I would like to have a large family (at least four children). I realize that having children during medical school/residency or while working abroad as a lawyer (if positions like that are even available) would be very difficult but I do not want to wait until I'm 32 ... Does anyone have any advice on these issues? I am having a great deal of trouble making any productive decision. Thanks!

  1. medicine. i would not worry about trying to get rid of the death penalty how woukd you feel if a nut murdered your whole family and u!.

  2. I'd go with medical. It seems like you are more interested in that specifically. It's also harder to go big in the law career. However the medical track is a long course.
