Question:

Should I put a deck pad on my surfboard?

I have a liquid shredder board and waxing it can get really annoying after a while, so I was wondering if it was worth getting the full deck anti slip traction pads. I was thinking of getting the ones made right from the company, the "Soft Tracks" on softsurfboards.com. Do they feel weird under foot? Do they provide enough traction over wax?

THanks

  1. depends on how much you like brownies.

  2. ya if you want to pull big airs

  3. they feel great, but i had to buy some from the store because when i ordered some from the company, they never came. but you can feel the grip (which is better than wax). it has helped me do maneuvers too. i didn't  regret it, except the stuff i bought from the company.

  4. too late. if you've already put wax on it, and put a traction pad over it, it wont stick and eventually peel off. Even if you think you've removed all the wax there is still a thin invisible film of wax that will make it hard for anything to stick to it. You don't have to wax it every time.
