I am currently working for a place but I am looking for another job. Should I put the place I currently work on my application or leave it off under past employment?

  1. Yes you should. They cannot contact your current employer without your consent.

I would only say, if you have worked there for less then a month or so, it might not be worth it, but it's up to you. I find that I have an easier time finding a job when I have a current job, but that might be because I don't seem desperate in the interview and have nothing to do with my resume.

So, I would put it on and just check that you don't want them contacting your current employer (they should have a place for that). Also, if you have a resume, I find it helpful to just have my references in the resume so they know only to contact those people. Most places understand that if you're looking for a job that you may not want your current employer to know. Hope this helps.

  2. Where you indicate the time period that you worked in a place just right "until present" for your current job.
