I am currently a senior in high school. I moved to a new school the last month of my junior year.

I participated in my old school's color guard, or the flag team, and semi-enjoyed it. I have started doing the color guard at the new school because I figured that colleges like it when students continue an activity. I have found myself not liking the girls on the color guard team here, and I have lost all interest in the activity. It costs about $1000 to be on this team, and I don't want to make my parents pay for all that money for something that lasts only 3 months. Plus, I have practice everyday from 3-6, AND a guard class during the 2nd period of my day.

I just realized that senior year is very expensive, and instead of doing the color guard, I could be volunteering (which I need hours for) or working, so I can save up money for applications, senior pictures, and college.

But then again, if I do color guard this last year, won't colleges see that as a plus?

So what should I do? Please help me out, this is tearing me up.
