Should I quit my babysitting job?

I take care of 6 year old and 1 year old boys(their my neighbors) I have been babysitting them since June. the 6 year old squeezes (pinches) my back,my sides and my stomach. It hurts when he does it.he still does it even though I tell him to stop or I would put him in the corner. I am starting to regret that i took the job! another reason I am asking if I should quit is. that the moms boyfriend says that he doesn't like the way I babysit! I make sure the kids have fun and I treat them the way I want to be treated(nice,& respected) I think he said that because he was mad about something else not related to my babysitting.

  1. Im somewhat in the same deal if but the dad is not like the one your dealing with. You should explain to the mom whats going on maybe when the dad is not there or around and explain whats going on and if that doesb't help then quit. Good luck! Hope all goes well!

  2. I think you should have a talk with the children's parents about the behavior of the 6 year old. If it doesn't get better within 2 babysitting nights, then forget them and find new kids.

  3. If you enjoy the money and the job itself, talk to the parent of the pincher. Ask her if it's something he's allowed to do at home regularly, and when he pinches, how would she want you to discipline him. (she might like time outs, or she may want you to take his toys away for the day). If she tells you to slap his hand, you need to have it in writing that she says that is an acceptable form of discipline so she cant come back later and say you were abusive.

I would not put up with it myself, but it's your money and your job.
