Question:

Should I radiate the same theme throughout my entire apartment?

I'm moving into a new apartment on Sunday and I need some help with decorating. I have several gret ideas on decorating each room, however each theme is very different from one to the next. Do you think this is too choppy for a small apartment? Should I just go with one general theme throughout the entire apartment and just add little details in each room to make it unique (like change an accent color)?

What do you think? Any other decorating ideas are welcome too!

  1. You are paying the rent.  Do what YOU want. You live there, we don't!

  2. Any dwelling should have "flow". Going from one design to a drastic change will give the "choppy" appearance. This is really true when you go from light to dark colors when going from one room to another. If you want to highlight a drastic color change, do it as an accent wall and not the whole room.
