Question:

Should I re-apply for a job I didn't get last time?

There's a company near me that has exactly the position I want available. I really want to work at this place specifically because I have no car and public transportation in my area is terrible, so it being nearby is very important. There are no similar companies nearby.

The problem is, a couple weeks ago they advertised the position and I applied, then followed up twice, without an answer. Now they just posted an ad-rehiring for the same position. Should I apply again or will they just think I'm a pest? I don't want to seem annoying...

  1. You can apply again but this time wait a couple of days and then call them back and ask if they gotten a chance to look at your application. That way they know you took the initiative to call and your interested.

  2. go ahead and re-apply.  I applied twice for the same position before getting an interview and was not given the job.  About two months later the person moved and quit so I re-applied and got it the 3rd time around.  Just keep trying.

  3. Yes and bother them until they hire you.
