Should I refill my parakeets water bottles two times each day?

all birds should have water dishes.  they sell them at the bird store or the cage should have come with some.  dont put the water in a water bottle, the bird can not get enough water that way and like the other person said take a bath or soak there food it in it.  I cant believe anyone gives birds water from a bottle. hahah

In a bottle the bird won't be able to put it's toys/food/random objects/etc in the water, so once a day fresh is fine. If you have water bowls you have to be more vigilant as birds like to stick anything and everything in them.

~ Birds prefer water bowls to water bottles.  It should be changed frequently.  Birds are not hamsters!!! Most birds like to soak their food in water too and take baths in the dishes.  Give your bird some water dishes so it can enjoy it.  Water bottles are not for birds!
