Should I register as self-employed for a few one off jobs?

I am a new graduate a currently looking for a full time job. However, I am currently doing a couple of random web design jobs on the side. Clients are asking for invoices, but I am not registered as self-employed. I do not intend to do web design full time or for that long (2-3 months). Should I bother registering as self-employed or just ask for cash payment :S ?

Does cash payment mean that you will not report the income?  That is tax fraud.  The clients would be liable, and so would you.

It is not worth it. Report the income.

You should register especially if you are dealing with customers who are asking for invoices.  Otherwise you are taking a big risk because the customers might report you because, after all, they are paying tax etc.
