Question:

Should I remove extra buds if my ranunculus plants have more than one bud per stem?

I am growing ranunculus from the bulb stage. They are doing well but have more than one bud on each thick middle stem. Is this normal? I bought ranunculus pre-grown in a pot once and it didn't do this. Does this just depend on the variety or am I supposed to remove the smaller buds from each stem? I have been using a little fertiliser but not that much.
