Should I remove the shrimp/crabs skin after in has molted?

My cleaner shimp, and coral banded shrimp molt quite alot. Its kinda of a paid going in my 40gallon tank and trying to remove the old skin.. Will it harm my water conditions?

  1. I just leave them in there and let them eat the old molts.


  2. most shrimp and crabs eat their old skins, its good for them. so leave it.

  3. Actually it's good to leave the molted skins in the tank. your coral banded shrimp will eat the thinner parts of the skin as a meal. just wait a night or two and it should be gone!  

  4. Actually, they eat their old shells, it provides extra calcium for their new shell :) So leave them in and they will be gone in a few days.
