Should I rent or buy Mario Kart Wii???

I'm about to rent Mario kart Wii because I wanna see how good this game is, but people have told me that it's a good game and that i should just buy it. The problem is that Wii doesn't have many really good games, except for just a few, and I don't wanna buy a game that I will not like later. But I've seen some videos and this game looks really cool and it seems to be a good game... now, what do u say, rent it first, or just go and buy it?? oh one last thing, I asked a question before saying if it was worth buying this game and they told me yes, and one guy told me that this game is 10 times more fun using the Wii wheel, that's the problem that if i rent it, it doesn't come with the Wheel and i will not know how cool it is with the Wheel, so im really confused right now....

  1. buy it!! its sooo fun!!!!!!!!!! and it never gets old... if you

have Wi-fi (online on your wii) you will NEVER get bored with it

  2. Buy.

I understand your question:  I'm the same way.  I'll wait for a game to come way down in price, or I'll rent it to see if I like it, then try to find a used copy.

I host Wii parties, though, and while not every top-rated game is for everyone, everyone likes Mario Kart.  Without exception.  I've never seen that happen with another game!

I'm not a wheel user.  The non-video-game players all love it, because it feels natural to them and they wouldn't do well no matter which control system they used.  It's also kind of crazy to use and admittedly can be very fun.  I can't beat the nunchuck+wiimote combo for control, though, and for me, winning is more fun than pretending I'm driving.  I have a car for that!

Regardless, you can still use the 'wii wheel' controls without the plastic case.  Just hold the wii remote sideways with the d-pad on the left and use it to steer just as if the plastic wheel were around it.  My non-video-gaming friends can't work that control scheme out to save their lives, but the gamers have no problem with it.  Then again, 90% of the gamers switch to the nunchuk anyway.  I've seen top players use the wheel online, so it can be done, but most of us have an easier time with the nunchuk.

In short . . . should you decide to rent, the lack of plastic wheel shouldn't be a deterrent for you unless you're a very casual gamer and need the physical reminder to show you how to steer.

    Have fun!

  3. ha ha this is the perfect question for me since i rented it like 6 times already. Buy! of course, the wifi connection against other players in fanominal! I play mk day and night, and it never gets boring

  4. BUY! its incredibly fun and addictive!

doesn't get old. especially when you play with new people and see hoe much they enjoy it.

  5. u should buy it. on mario karts there are a lot of unlock-ables and u wont get to unlock and do everything if u rent it. its worth buying. the wheel is fun, but it really doesn't make a difference if u just use the remote

  6. buy it cause it is so much fun to play

  7. Buy It....

  8. BUY IT

    trust me its worth it!

I used to rent games before buying them, but ive stopped now just as long as ive seen a couple if videos and heard reviews of the game that rate it well

  9. I've been looking for a copy of this game for ages, sure I could rent it, but there's never a copy to buy at any game stores. If you see a copy then buy it before they sell out.
