Question:

Should I retake my SAT Math II test?

I am aiming for a high level university (perhaps even Harvard, Princeton, or Yale). I got a 750 on my Math II and I am in the 79th percentile. I also got an 800 in Chem and a 790 in History.

Is my Math II score unacceptable? Furthermore, will colleges be able to see my 750 even if I retake the Math II? Will they judge me on that score whether or not I retake the Math II?

  1. They will be able to see that you have retaken it and what your previous score was. If you feel the need to retake the test the you can, but I think that your other test scores, especially the Chemistry one, will make up for the Math II score.

  2. Certainly you can do better.

  3. I think you should. Many people get 800 on math, so it would be good if you also got 800.

Colleges don't care if you retake as long as you don't do it too much. If they look at your other score, 750 is pretty good also.

  4. holy **** dude those scores rock! 800 in chem!?!?!

i do not think you need to retake any test. a 750 is amazing! but if you retake then colleges will see both scores, but see your improvement as a plus no matter what. but you took 3 subject tests to fill a requirement. you excelled.
