Should I retake the SAT's this fall?

The first time i got a 1670. The second time I got 1830. Do you think that if I take them again this fall that I will do even better? For those who have taken it more than once, has your score improved each time? I just don't want to take them and get the same score or a lower one.

  1. hopefully your scores will increase but you must study in the summer to do so. Also you should look at the colleges you want to get into to see what scores you should get and if you are there already.

  2. Yes, don't stay behind

  3. Sinceyou already had a big jump, it's unlikely you'll do much better unless you've studied or taken a prep class.

If your scores are solid for the colleges that interest you don't retake. If your aiming for a highly selective college do some work to improve the score.

  4. Your scores should increase, but I would suggest not taking the SAT more than 3 times. You get burned out if you take them over and over again. Honestly, I think the 1830 is pretty good, but it's up to you depending on where you want to go to school.

  5. Those scores are ok...i took it twice on the first one I scored a 1210.....that was because my grandma had passed away around two days before....i still can't accept it.....anyways....I retook it again in october...with no prep....i scored a 2030...which i think was good....those scores are ok.....decent...you should give it another try its really important that you score high so that you have considerations from the colleges you apply to the scholarships you recieve its really realy important retake it again :D....i would suggest not to take more than three times though.....it shows inadequate prep and too much chances....good luck!!!
