Question:

Should I ride the bus or not?

My bus comes at 6:30 and we reach my high school after an hour. WTH? That's so long! I don't want to wake up really early just so I could ride a d**n bus for an hour to school.

That means I have to wake up at lik 5:30 b/c it takes me an hour to get ready for school.

Do you think I should rather get my parents to drive me to high school so I can sleep for an extra hour instead of riding a dumb bus. My hs is 2 1/2 miles away, and with gas prices this high, my parents don't want to drive me.

What do you think I should do?

  1. do ur makeup on the bus so you can sleep that much longer

    good luck!

    :D

  2. I tink that maybe you could ridde a bike to school or something.

Or if you dont want to do that then tell your parents that they could drive you like 3 days in a week and then also do 2 days of the bus!!!!!!

    :)

  3. no you should leave it to the bus driver, its much safer that way especially if you don't have a driving license.

  4. stop taking the bus if your parents wont take you. see if a friend that lives near you can take you!

  5. take the bus and leave your parents alone. i'm sure you can find something to do like listen to music or read a book

  6. ride the bus.  it builds character

  7. 2 and a half miles away?

    walk it?

    that's not long.

    xo

  8. Ride the bus! or maybe you could carpool with someone.

  9. 2 and a half miles is not that far. i had a class over the summer and it was a little over 5 miles away and it took about 40 minutes. i think before you decide you should take the bus while it's still summer and time yourself to see how long it takes give or take 10 minutes. and then see if it really is going to take an hour. if it does take that long then just ride a bike or something. i know it sucks because it is a little embarrassing but it beats getting up so early or having your parents complain about taking you to school. or you should call a friend that lives close by and ask if they can give you a ride to school everyday

  10. ride the bus, your parents pay for you to ride the bus with taxes anyways, or if you really don't want to then ride a bike or something. just don't waste their money!

  11. just ride the bus and you can sleep on the drive.or do make up on the way so you can sleep in a little longer

  12. Ride the bus.

  13. wow thats annoying

i would drive to school, if you're only 2.5 miles away, becuase it shouldnt take an hour, so then you have more time to do other stuff :)

  14. Gas prices actually have been going down I would get them to drive you. No need to be extra tired through out the day for having to wake up so early.

  15. That's the same schedule that I use to have. Just tough it out and take the bus. It's also good social time, to talk to your friends before school.

  16. well if you're parents WONT drive you

then obviously its either walking or the bus

personally with that distance, i'd choose the bus

bus pases are 42 dollars so its a lot cheaper busing than driving

but if driving is more convenient, you can ask

    i car pool with friends

    you could try that too

  17. I would tell my parents to take me school, then I would take the bus for the ride home, that is what I do...

  18. I think you should continue taking the bus.  Your parents should not have to use more gas than necessary and perhaps they need that time of their day as well.  I used to have to walk to school so at least you have a bus to pick you up.  Your parents also pay taxes that pay for the upkeep and fueling of that bus.  Since getting up early will not kill you try not to be selfish.  Honestly it is good practice for when you have a job.

  19. Carpool with a friend maybe your parents could atleast drive you to a close friends house, or you could walk to your friends house ? - Good Luck !

  20. just take the bus.. i wake up at the same time and you get used to it after a while. And maybe a few mornings when you're really tired your parents will be more willing to drive you, you know?

    good luck and have fun!

  21. Try riding a bicycle, that's what I did.  You should be able to bike it in about 20 minutes.  It's good exercise and you stay independent.

  22. i think you should alternate sometimes you take the bus and sometimes your parents take you or if they really dont wanna take you pretend to miss the bus alot so they'll think that you really need an extra hour of sleep but dont feel bad because when i go to school i have to wake up at 5:45 and leave my house to walk down a hill even when its freezing at 6:45 just catch the bus

  23. eww, who rides the bus?! if your parents won't drive you see if you could get a ride with a friend on the way to school or something. your going to be driving soon anyways, right?

  24. just ride the bus and if 1 of ur friends rides the bus to just sit with them or just sleep on the bus!

  25. 1. Ride your bike

    2. Ride the bus and use the time to read something or befriend the person next to you.

    3. Ask your parents politely if they would drive you. Offer to do extra chores or earn a little money so you can help out with gas.

    4. Be grateful for what you have. Make a goal, that is to do your best in school so that you have a better chance of getting the career you want.

    5. See if you can catch a ride with someone else. I do that on occasions for my neighbor girl.

In my family I prefer to drive my kids to school in the mornings because I enjoy the time talking to them individually (they attend different schools). It allows us to catch up on things and is just plain fun. My oldest takes the bus home in the afternoon.

  26. Ride your bike to school, why on earth should your parents dirve you?  I wouldn't either when you have a perfectly good bus to pick you up!  How selfish can you get?

  27. alternate, take the bus one week and the car the next

  28. be green

    be sociable

and you can do your hair and make up and homework on the bus

    its the obvious choice

  29. 21 1/2 miles away !!!??? Why does it take so long for the bus to get to school that should only take 10 minutes at the most unless your bus driver drives at like 2 miles an hour. OK you could walk or car pool with a friend also research has shown that people who get more sleep do better at school also show them this page which backs that up.

  30. Take the bus

    Save the environment :)

  31. With the gas prices high i can understand your parents situation.

An easy way out could be to wake up about half an hour before the bus and do your hair only. Take your makeup with you and then do it on there (Assuming that you r first on, that way no one will see you).

    Hope i helped!
