I have only ran one mile a day so far but I feel like I should kick it up a notch.

From now on should I run 3 miles or 2 miles?

  1. Listen to your body, you may pass out after 2 miles. Try and push yourself to your limits then rest, try and step it up the next time around.

  2. Rather then think miles think minutes.  How long does it take you to do 1 mile.  Take that time and add 10% (about).  If you are running a mile in 12 minutes today.  Tomorrow run 13 minutes.  Do that a couple of days then try 15 minutes.  At first don't move up too quickly but later if you feel comfortable you can run longer.

This way you are conditioning your body and lessening your chance of injury.

If you are are only running for fitness thirty minutes a day will be sufficient.

    Good luck.

  3. if u r an adult who isnt traing for anything than i would advise u to gradually increase ure distance.

  4. 3 miles..and then stick there for at least 6 weeks

  5. 2 miles, try not to overdo it. Building up your endurance over miles is a long process, and should be done gradually as to not cause injury. You should run 2 miles, and go on and off between 1 and 2. Then, when you can easily run two, then make one day your long run day and try 3 out. But try doing the 1 and 2 thing for a few weeks first, to build yourself up to the longer mileage. Good luck, and happy running! :]

  6. first do only 2 miles then when you do 2 miles for a week or two go on to 3 miles.  you wouldn't want to overdue it.

  7. If you think that you can handle it you should, try running 1.5 miles for two days, and then progress to 2 miles, after that 2.5 miles, then 3 miles, then slowly you will get the hang of building both your speed and distance up. After a while, you will feel faster and more capable of going longer distances, and you will feel better too. Good Luck!
