Should I say anything to my future brother in law?

6 months ago My fiance's brother asked us to go see a comedian (whom we all think is so hilarious) with him and his gf. The show is tonight. For the past month I've been talking about it when I saw him saying things like, "Who's excited for Jim Gaffigan... me!!" and he would act like we were going. 4 days we told him that we had the money for the tickets for him, and he was like, "I'll grab it later" So today, we call over to my fiance's parents house and his mom said, "Oh are you sure you're going with him, I thought he asked someone else to go a while ago"... we were like, WTF? So he called us a few hours later, and was like, "I forgot I asked you guys to go, so I asked Brian and Vicky (friends of his) like 3 months ago if they wanted to go"... then he offered us his tickets and was like... "you can go with them if you want"... I was like... yeah... we are really going to go with strangers.. it was just super odd. So I'm feeling really pissed and sad about the whole thing. My fiance's brother is a known liar but I didn't think he would do something like that to us, we're pretty close. BTW, I'm 26, fiance is 31, brother is 25 and gf is 22. My fiance doesn't want to say anything, but I really want to... what should I do, what should I say... if anything at all?

If your fiance' doesn't want to say anything to him, then leave it at that.  This must not be too out of the norm or I'm thinking he would say something.

What you have to do is make a mental note of how this guy is and not trust him.  Let your fiance' know how you feel about it so in the future if he wants to go out with him you can bring up your uneasiness.

What he did was extremely rude and he sounds like one of those people that will tell you one thing and change their mind if something else better comes along.  He's obviously immature so I would expect immature behavior out of him and keep your guard up.

You should say something!  There's no way he could have forgotten if you kept reminding him!  And he obviously knew how excited you were!
