Question:

Should I see about this pain in my chest?

About a year ago I had some chest pains, and I went to the ER about it. They ended up admitting me to the hospital just to be "safe" but after 2 days of tests, they came back and said it was nothing. They couldn't find a thing wrong with my heart and said my chest pain was probably just stress. Like I said that was about a year ago, and then it didn't bother me anymore. Now today, my chest is hurting really bad, and I'm short of breath. It hurts when I breathe. I just don't want to go through all those tests again only to find out it's nothing. It was so embarrassing and my husband is beginning to think I'm a hypochondriac or something. Should I go see about it or not? They just tested me a year ago and found nothing wrong with my heart, why would I do that again? still, the pain is pretty scary...what do I do?

  1. i would go to A an E just to be safe x

  2. Woman's cardiac issues frequently are ignored.  What types of tests did they do on you and did you have any chest pain during them.? Did the Drs. put you on any medication? Did they rule out 100% that the pain you had was not cardiac ? You have chest pain now with shortness of breath and yes you must go into emergency to have it evaluated. No one is going to judge you, that is what they are there for. And if your hubby loves you and wants you around he needs to bring you right now..And all chest pain is not cardiac in origen

  3. If you are not under stress, and yet are suffering from chest pain...... Go ahead and take the investigations.

Better to face a "you are OK" label than ignore these symptoms or be embarrassed about the rigmarol and suffer later.

Your heart health is more important than what others 'feel'
