  1. Can't hurt to ask.  Many summons cases are in fact beaten down.  Judges are sympathetic of those who come to court and wait a whole day before their case is called.  You may get a reduced fine or even a straight ACD.  If the ticket has any mistake, it could be dismissed.

  2. Maybe if you have some or most of the money the judge will give you some more time to pay. He could be a real d--- and make you pay to do the community service. It is always better to just have to pay than have to pay to do work. It depends on the judge. Good luck.

  3. Take an ONLINE traffic school!! You can take it in less than a day. I took an awesome class with with http://www.ticketrelief.com. Keep in mind your insurance will also hit the roof to if you don't take a traffic school.

  4. Go ahead and ask but whatever you decide to do, make sure you do not miss the court date or extension date, as a warrant for your arrest will issue.

  5. It's not going to hurt to ask. You could also ask if you can set a payment agreement with $100 or $200 to start and weekly payments after that. Some courts are willing to work with you, unless you have a terrible driving record. In that case they may decide that you never learned your lesson the first few times.
