CROX is on a plummet do I stick it out or do I keep on trucking. I remember when it took a drop from 70 to 40 and from there to 10 so I'm even more cautious now. I bought it at 10.35

  1. You bought these stocks for a reason. Does the reason still exist? If not, close that position at a loss, learn your lesson, and look for the next trade.

Hoping for a position to reverse, adding to your losses are the common pitfalls of investors.

  2. A few things to think about in making your decision:

What do you believe will be the mid and long-term (2+ years) outlook for the company?  The company closed some canadian manufacturing facilities lately to cut costs, will that be enough to get it on track?  Is sales growth still continuing?  What were the reasons for the recent plummet, and have they been fixed?  If you don't know all the answers to these questions, you don't have any business owning this stock.  That's my rule of thumb for any stock:  If you don't know exactly how they make all their money and don't have an opinion about how good they can do as a company, you shouldn't buy the stock.  Know what you own.

  3. Hey, your decision.  I personally wouldn't have gotten into it because those shoes are a total fad.

When you buy a stock you have to ask yourself if you think they will be doing better in 3 or more years. Do you see people really wearing those ugly rubber shoes in 3 or more years?  Do you see sales increasing from now until 3 years later?  I don't.

I am 30 now but I remember Hypercolor shirts, boat shoes, Cross Color Jeans, Massimo, mullets, and Tommy Hilfiger.

The thing is all of these had a peak and haven't been back.

    Take a look at this

Look at the bottom.  You have cash from operations minus the costs associated with continuing business to come out with the free cash flow to pay for everything else.  That negative number isn't looking so good.
