Tiger woods Father named Tiger after his friend In Thiland. At Clark Air Base in the Phillipines a wood carver was asked to carve a Tiger from the Finest Narra Wood. Woods never returned to pick up the carving which was latter sold to a Sailor, stationed in Subic Bay in 1980. When the Salior returned to the U.S. in 1987 he shipped the Tiger to Washington State. The estamated 600 pound Tiger is of Solid NARRA and meassures 6 feet long and 4 feet high. It took three men and a boy to move it just a few feet. It is a beatuiful piece of art work stained in natural oils, dark brown and with a light shine.
