Should I sell my pleasure horse for a contestor?

My pleasure horse is very good. We always place in every show we enter. But since I was very little, i have always wanted to barrel race. Thats how I got into horses. But now having my own horse, i love him. But i still want to contest. What would you do? Please give me pros and cons.

hmmm. Well I've NEVER had horses, but If i were you this is what I'd do:

Keep both horses because you have grown very close to them.

Ask someone in your county, or somone you know close by, if you can borrow one? ya know what i mean? like, go over to their place every so often, to work with the horse, that way you don't have to pay for the expenses. Be warned though, some people charge you to rent the horse.

Pros of doing what I said:

1. You get to keep both horses you love dearly

2. You dont have to pay for the living expenses (for the other horse)

3. You get to barrel race like you've always wnated

4. IT all works out!!!!!

Cons:

1. It might be hard to go over to the persons house to train, what with gas prices so high

2. Your parents (if you have any) may not approve of this

3. If you get hurt at that persons house, with the horse involved, and they have that sign that says: If you get hurt, it's not their fault and you cant sue them, then you might get hurt and there's nothing you can do about it.

But alas, it's your decision if you really want to do barrel racing, it does seem like fun.

start saving up for another one. try gaming, see if you like it. if you dont then dont sell ur pleasure horse. and whoever left that first comment, ur a sick person

cross- train! make your pleasure horse a barrel racer also or make your other horse a barrel racer or make them both barrel horses!
