  1. You've got nothing to loose.

    give it a try.

  2. You didn't state whether or not you're a dependent or independent student.

    If you are indeed 'rich', and that's a very loose term these days, the only thing that the FAFSA will do for you is give you the opportunity to apply for the Federal Stafford loan.  You won't be seeing grants.  It would give your parents the opportunity for the Parent Plus loan if you are independent.

    Again, if you are 'rich', why not just pay cash for school and not acquire any debt for schooling.

  3. Yes, you should apply.  If you are not eligible, you will not recieve financial aid, but  if you don't apply, you won't know.  ,

  4. Sure, you'll probably get it as well.

  5. This is what i found out about requirements for financial aid on the internet.

    To be academically eligible for financial aid, you must:

        1)  be matriculated (accepted into a degree program);

        2)  be enrolled for at least:

                6 credit hours for the federal aid programs (you may qualify for Pell at less than half time);

               12 credit hours (6 during the summer) for the New York Tuition Assistance Program (TAP);

               at least 3 but less than 12 credit hours for the New York Aid For Part-Time Study (APTS) program; and

        3)  be in good academic standing as defined later in this document.

    Go ahead and give it a try.If your smart and pay attention in classes, give it a shot.
