Just started an Administrative Assistant job a month ago. A small start up company (3 years old) with only one other employee and my boss. No benefits offered; I was aware going in. I'm 25 and didn't think it important. Then I found out our boss can't afford to give a raise; no yearly reviews. Turnover rate is less than 6 months to 1 year. Discounts on company services doesn't exist. But I need this job for resume building. My lack of experienced years made prospective employers pass me over even though I have the skills/knowledge. I'm not a job hopper. But I feel guilty when my boss gave me a chance. Or was I the only interviewee who didn't ask for much? Should I waste my time just to have this on my resume? Should I start looking and then give notice? What is the ave. salary for an entry level admin assist? Only a couple of years out of college, did I get screwed over for $11/hour? Wished I could use this place as reference, would it be rude? I feel bad even thinking of quitting
