I met this girl when I was 14 in rehab for 9 months. She was pretty cool friend to me. The thing is she says "She don't know the man above (God)". She doesn't slander him but she says she doesn't believe in him and her beliefs are associated with witches. It's in Spanish and the world "bruja" meaning (witch) in Spanish is in it, so I'm assuming. So anyways, should I not start associating with her or what is ur advice. I'm confused so don't think I'm just being narrow minded.

  1. It kinds of depends on how important it is to you to have friends who share your faith. For me, it's more important that my friends respect my beliefs (and that I respect theirs) than it is for us to share the same faith. If this friend is otherwise an all-around good friend and person, if you enjoy spending time with her, and if she's not trying to force her beliefs on you (and you're not trying to force your beliefs of her), I see no reason why you should not or can not be friends with her.

  2. Janie,  the best thing we can do as believers, is to set a good example.  I have a friend who does not share a lot of my beliefs, but we agree to disagree, and do not allow it to ruin our friendship.

If she is a good friend to you, just be the best you that you can be for God, and don't talk religion with her, and don't hang around with her bruja friends, that could be dangerous depending on the personalities.
