Should I stash Robinson Cano even though I don't need him?

Someone just gave up on him in a 12 team shallow mixed league.

  1. If you have room and don't have to eject valuable depth to get him, yes.

    He's coming off an 0-17 streak, and his batting average has tumbled.

    Really you're banking on a late season surge, that he can get out of his funk and get back to normal.

    His OBP, SLG are way off career norms for him.

    Still, there's nothing physically wrong with him, so I would have no reservation about stashing him.  I have him deep on my bench.


  2. Yes stash him. Think of him like buying stock. You want to buy the stock when it is low and hope that the price rises. Cano will rise and then you will be able to deal him for a quality player. I picked him up in one of my leagues also.
