Hotel A

- approx 100 meters from metro Vaugirard (situated in the Rue de Vaugirard road)

- okay hotel

Hotel B

- walking distance to louvre museum, champs-elysees, rue de rivoli, etc

- bad maintenance of hotel (the reviews differ)

We're going to Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Champs-Elysees, Rue de Rivoli and Disneyland (and possibly a few more)

what do you think?

  1. Hotel A is perfect - I know the district : XVe - it's a nice one - and only 15 minutes metro

Give me the name of the hotel and I'll tell you exactly - because Rue de V. is one of the longest in Paris

  2. Well, when I travel especially to a city like Paris, I say that the hotel is not that important as long as it is clean. You only spend a few hours a night in it. Also reviews car be deceiving especially from Americans, because a lot of them expect to find the same stuff downtown Paris than anywhere else in the US with roomy rooms etc..

I would pick the more centralized location.

  3. Why limit yourself to only the two you list...there are many, many places to stay in Paris.  HAVE A FUN SAFE TRIP and DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF!

  4. I would stay at the centrally located hotel.  Here's why:  When I went to Madrid a few years ago, I chose a hotel that was in the Salamanca district, which is pretty far from the main tourist sites.  I found that I was spending more time than I wanted on the Metro and less time seeing what I wanted to see.
