  1. I live right beside Niagara Falls so i can definately tell  you the Canadian side is the obvious one to pick. All the attractions are there and it would be a lot easier to see and do more than having to cross the border everyday. Look into buying the Niagara Great Gorge Adventure Pass which will save you a lot instead of paying to see each attraction separately. That covers Maid of the Mist, White Water Walk, Journey Behind The Falls, Butterfly Conservatory, Ripley's museum, People Mover Shuttle and the Falls Incline Railway. Also, look into the Clifton Hill Fun Pass. That will save you money too. Friday and Sunday at dusk there are fireworks over the Falls which is free. Hope this helped. Enjoy your trip and good luck.

  2. Canada's view is better because US side has the 'greatest' Falls. As for the mist  I believe is on both side check it out. Advise please just go on to the other side that way you can say you went to Canada. hahahaha have fun!

  3. I think the view of the horseshoe falls is much better from our side...that would be the Canadian side.

Im not sure if the US side is as 'touristy' as ours is...all the funhouses and wax museums and stuff to do. Freshly made waffle cones, yummy.

It used to be much more attractive to Americans because the US dollar was higher and you could get more for your money.

Marineland is close by also, on the Canadian side.

A word of advice: Denny's TGIFridays and all other chain restaurants are MUCH more expensive in NIagara Falls than anywhere else you may be used to.

  4. You will just have to come over to the Canadian side and check it out.Your right there anyway.

  5. Canadian side for sure.  There is so much more to do and so many more dining and lodging options.  There's actually not much to the US side at all.

I can save you a lot of money on "Maid of the Mist" by giving you a tip.... you can simulate the experience by putting on a rain poncho and standing in your shower while it is on full blast.

While you are on the Canadian side, do not miss out the opportunity to drive into Niagara-on-the-Lake whic is the "prettiest town in Ontario".  It really is quite nice and has a nice area for shopping and dining down by the lakefront.  There are also tons of wineries you can visit if you are into that.

  6. If you want some crack, a casino, or some d**n fine pizza and wings, stay in NY. But there is nothing on the NY side and the view is much better in Ontario.  You can do the Maid of the Mist from either side of the border, but the public  parks  along th Niagara river are great in Ontario and there is much more for kids to do.

  7. I cant go into too much detail for you, but I say Canadian by far, lots more to do and nicer view. Im not sure about maid of the mist.
