For the last 3 years I have been on second and third team, Now this year, my senior year, I have been placed on third team yet again. I was really hopping to start or play this year but it seems neather of theose things will happen. So I am at the threshold wandering if I should stay or walk (leave the team).

  1. No, they don't need you!

  2. Truthfully i love playing football, but that may be because ive started every game ive played.. but still if i was playing football and i could only be in practice i would hate it because i love the feeling when your on the field, but i would sujest you just try to play for a comminite team or something

  3. eff them leev try out in college and eff them

  4. hmm.. if u rlly dnt wana play and ur gunna just be a backup yet again. id stick it in the coaches faces and just b like i quit

  5. Is transferring a consideration.

  6. If you enjoy the sport of football and being with your friends then yes. Maybe spend some extra time getting better at the postion that you want to play. Talk with the coaches and ask them what techniques you need to improve on and what will it take for you to get a starting position or at least more play time.  You will only ever get out of the program what you put in. There will be kids that are better than you . Maybe take a close look at other postions and see where the weakest player maybe and ask the coach if you can give that position a try and maybe you might just be better at that position and could ultimately provide a value to your team. Stick with it.

  7. ask your coaches why you aren't playing. if you don't like their answer, tell them your decision.

It's tough to practice day in and day out but not see action come game day.

  8. Quit.

  9. Wow, that is a dilemma.  I don't know what to tell you.  Sounds like there's some politics at your high school just like my son's, huh?  I guess it all depends on how badly you want to play.  If you want to play, then prove your ability and don't let the coaching staff win, you do your best and that's all you can do.  However, if you find it too humiliating, then there's no shame in quitting if you're getting screwed.

    Good luck!

  10. I liked the practices even though I was not 1st string. However, in wrestling, our coach promised challenge matches when someone lost.

He did not fulfill his promise when a guy on the football team lost (he also coached the football team) so I quit. He kept asking me to be on the team but I told him he didn't do challenge matches.
