Question:

Should I stopover in Paris, London or Frankfurt?

So I'm leaving Canada for a few weeks, going to Europe and Africa in October but because of the timing of the things I need to do over there I have like 4-5 days free in between my commitments. Instead of coming all the way back to Canada after Africa I thought I'd just hang out in Europe, then fly to Italy. I've never been over there and because of my flights I'm being routed through Paris. Should I just stay in Paris or should I go to London or maybe even somewhere else? What do you think, where's a good starting point? Confused? If so just give me your opinion on the three cities in the question!

  1. All 3 are nice in October.  You might catch some Oktoberfest activities in Frankfurt.  I was in Bavaria for Oktoberfest back in the 80's and it was a great experience.

  2. What are you most interested in?  The short answer is that Paris is a more beautiful city and has some of the greatest art museums in the world, while London is full of historic sights and has live theater that is as good or better than New York.  I wouldn't go to Frankfurt over Paris or London unless you are very interested in Germany (and if you are, consider Berlin or Munich instead).
