Question:

Should I suspect witchcraft?

My step grandmother practiced witchcraft in her younger years. She is now a supposed Christian. (Though I very much doubt that she is full faith.) We have had many spats over the years (long story and is irrelevant to this question.) She recently gave me some nice furniture as I am going through a divorce at the moment and my ex took half of our furnishings. Before she gave me the new furniture she and I had yet another spat and it turned ugly. I have an Autistic son whom she disowns due to him not being quote unquote normal. However I have three other children and she told me the only reason she was helping me out was because of them. The other day I was cleaning house and moved one of the recliners she gave to me. It tipped over on accident and I found a piece of cloth tied weirdly around one of the springs of the chair. By weirdly I mean it looks like two pieces of cloth tied together. It has what looks like a burn mark at the end. The material of the cloth is like that of chamois cloth. (the type of cloth you would dry a car off with after you have washed it.) I told one of my co workers about it and she told me to cut it off and bury it away from the house as it may be some kind of curse. I want to believe her because after I got the furniture strange and bad things have been happening to me all at once and never ceases. One thing after another is what I like to call it. What do you think? Please dont think of me as being a weirdo. I am a bit paranoid and beleive in this c**p. But I want to make sure that I may be right. To make a long story short, she sent my uncle a piece of paper for him to sign just last summer and he read into it more and found out she was trying to scam him. So he burnt the paper up and at the same time that day her RV blew up (propane tank caught fire) just as he was burning the paper. He told me it took hours to burn this slip of paper. My family is crazy...well most of them are and if you only knew the half of it those of you who think this is absurd will possibly rethink your opinion of this whole situation. Let me know your view on this and what I should do about the cloth. I already cut it off of the spring. Now wtf do I do with it?

  1. Whoa, this is some pretty freaky stuff... I have to admit though, there is a possibility that she really did cause all of this. Maybe she really didn't "curse" you, but she might have frightened you enough into believing it was her fault. Still, I don't think her RV blowing up was a complete coincidence. I'd probably take the cloth somewhere safe but far away, because burning it might be exactly what she wants you to do, and who knows what kind of trouble could happen then...? Just watch out her, and maybe spend a little extra time in church praying and asking for whichever god you worship to bless your family and your home.

  2. Im a wiccan and "witchcraft" is very real. First of all your witch may be a Christian witch. 2nd INCINERATE THE RECLINER ASAP. i will e-mail u

  3. I would get myself some sage and smudge and bless the furniture the house and everything around it , as I do that I burn candles of the saints and bless the house with protection bless my belongings and my family ,. You May have to do it it a couple of times .that is if you can not get rid of the furniture any time soon, and last christians recognize all of gods children even the ones that do not fit into society's norm , She is not a christian if she disowns your son over a genetic disorder . Be sure if you do this you start at one end of the house and go all the way threw, keep a window or door open at the other end to chase all the negative energy out and away .

  4. Along with the others suggestions, look into a lemon un crossing , if i am not mistaken this is where you push pins into a lemon and use it as protection against curses and negative energy.

  5. check the rest of the furniture for similar things if they are there get rid of those as well as to burying them it is more a matter of your faith & what you believe should be done to them then any one elses if you are "Christian" just throw them away & bless the furniture with a prayer to Jesus asking him to do so If you are Pagan do what your pagan faith deems right & if you are Atheist then it does not mater because you do not really believe in it!

  6. I don't believe in such things but all the advice I can offer to you is to GET RID OF THE FURNITURE as soon as you can. Buy new furniture.

These furniture might have bad energy accumulated on it.

  7. dont worry i dont think your crazy,

i suggest u dispose of the cloth immediately,

then whenever your grandmother comes around,

pretend your cleaning and "accidentally" tip over the recliner again, and see if she makes a weird reaction or "stares" at the springs of the recliner signifying she was the one who put it there.

*if u have a high suspicion that she is a witch still and using magic against u then i suggest a binging spell*

    **************************************...

    Spell to Bind A Person

Take an artifact or picture of the person and bind it with tape while saying:

(Person's name) I bind you from doing harm to others or your self.

    Repeat 3 times.

  8. You never know, theres much more to life than what we can see etc,

    be wary

  9. well, you are paranoid alright. sometimes in old furniture (especially recliners) people will tie a piece of soft cloth around the spring to silence the squeak when you are rocking. (I do upholstery and have seen this many times.

I think many times people get paranoid about something and the paranoia feeds off itself. as far as the paper, there are papers that are made of treated parchments that are intended for deeds and agreements and such. these papers are made to be nearly indestructible.

I believe bad things can happen if you think about bad mojo long enough. not because of some "curse" or witchcraft. that stuff is all myth that allows your brain play tricks on you when you believe in it.

  10. i practise witchcraft...but only white magick. it sounds like your grandma did black magick...i suggest you burn the cloth, and don't use any of her furniture anymore. get new furniture and get rid of hers. cleanse your home from unwanted energies or curses as you call it by using your religion. if you're christian get a priest to cleanse your home, or a banishing spell or whatever you have faith in.

    I wish you luck :)

  11. my advice is to just never speak to the step grandmother again. not even to see her. if she pulls this c**p throw it back in her face. if she wants the furniture back just give it back. you dont need sh*t like that

  12. No.

  13. Ok, such as witchcraft can only affect you if you allow it to.  Let her do all that crazy mess she wants to.  I am a Christian.  It is not that I do not believe in such, it is that i KNOW that if this happend to me; all I would do is pray about it, ask God to send Angels to protect me, command evil out of my life and you're done.  I have been told that you do have to speak it outloud.  You could do fro example something such as this outloud :  "I command this evil out of my life.  You are not welcome here, I don't believe you can control my life and I believe in God the Father Almighty".  I have done this before and I never fear evil.  And that is what witchcraft is.  Bad witches that is.
