So this is the 5th day of my period and I really want to swim. Its like 95 degrees outside and I have a pool out my house. The bleeding isn't real heavy. I really want to swim, but I'm scared to use a tampon. Will it FOR SURE stop in the water. It's ok if there is a little leak in my swim suit but I don't want a gush of blood in the pool. Am I gonna bleed in the pool?

  2. nothing is going to happen! I have gone to the beach on my period ~!

  3. most likely nothing will show at all as u are on ur 5th day and bleedling lightly. wear a tampon. u can always swim if ur on ur perid u just have to waer a tampon.

  4. your period will never COMPLETELY stop when your in water, but it may slow down alittle,, relax and the tampon weill go in smooooothly. no fears :)

  5. You can as long as you wear a tampon or moon/diva cup, as you WILL still bleed into the water and you WILL contaminate the pool with your blood.

Try tampax pearl lites, as they are very slender with a plastic applicator and are excellent for beginners.

Your period does NOT stop nor does it slow down in water, it just LOOKS like it does, when in reality it just gets washed away by the water.

You HAVE to wear a tampon, or moon/diva cup, or else you WILL bleed into the water and contaminate the pool.

So, no tampon/moon/diva cup = NO SWIMMING

  6. NO! If there is a little blood... Ever watch food coloring, just a small red drop in a cup of water? Not a good idea. I would either

    a) put a tampon in

    b) don't swim at all

    c) wait for your period to stop COMPLETELY.

That is a MYTH. Your period does NOT stop in the water; however it might slow but it won't stop.
