Should I switch schools?

So I've been in the same school district since kindergarten, and I'm now going into the 10th grade. I am very depressed at this school because I've grown up with the same group of friends the whole time and now they're all started to get into trouble and be too busy for me, and they're always off & on with me. Some days my best friend wants to talk to me, others days she doesn't. It's just stressful and hard to handle. However, my mom and dad are trying to move to this other school district that has tons more children (It's a lot more diverse, too) and is the school is very big. I'm so scared, maybe I won't make friends there and I will make a bad mistake if I decide to change. What would you do?

It looks like I'm trying to run from my problems but by all means I'm not, I just have put up with this for too long and I think I MIGHT be better off at a new school..

  1. Pros:

You may find lots of friends.

You'll have a better chance of finding friends.

    You'll have more life experiences.

You'll have more experiences at a bigger school.

    Cons:

You may not find any friends.

It may be hard at first.

  2. Pros: You will create very good relationships wit new friends

you will have a great time

    and many more to list

Cons: unless you are sociable you may not seem to find friends fast

  3. I would definately switch.

  4. suck it up and deal with it at your old school. i had no friends in high school and i didnt have the option of just changing schools. if your family moves then you have to change schools, otherwise grow some nads and get over it. in the real world you dont always have friends and there is no option of "changing schools" in the real world. what r u gonna do, quit your job cuz you have no friends?

  5. If you move schools you will still have friends from your other school anyway.

And the more people at the school the more likely you are to find someone you can hang with. If it was a small school finding someone with same interests would be harder. But since its a big school you have higher chances.

I remember when i changed schools for the first time, i was scarred and didn't think anyone would like me but really all it took was a band tee and a conversation with the right person.

Talk to anyone who talks to you, try not to talk too much but enough so that you don't look like your a shy mute or something. Also ask questions like what bands or groups do you like, hobbies, movies, etc. thats the best way to find someone that shares your intersets

  6. You will be better off at the new school b/c you are miserable now and if all else fails, you will still be miserable which is where you started. At the new school you will be able to be who you really want to be and make up things to make yourself be more popular. Everyone wants to get to know the cute new kid!
