I'm an "above average" student, but my parents say that would be too much work.

  1. It depends on you as a student and a person. Are they in subjects that you like? That plays a big factor in whether you will be able to do it or not.

How much time will you want to hang out with friends? If your answer is a lot, you won't want to take both.

Also, if you have a ton of extracurricular activities, it may indeed be too much. I know that I survived taking all the difficult classes at my high school while doing theatre and community volunteer work, but not everyone can. You want to make sure you aren't too stressed out...that weakens your immune system and kills your performance.

High school may not seem important, but doing well is imperative to getting into a good college and for any scholarships that you might want to apply for. I'd say if you're worried, just take one of the advanced ones...if you do well, then you can do two next year.

You really want that high GPA for college, so my recommendation would be to listen to your parents on this one, and just take one of the classes if you have a ton of extracurriculars. For another option, why not compromise? Go ahead and take both classes...if the going gets rough, drop an extracurricular activity and use that time for the class. It shows responsibility and keeps your grade up, and you're parents will respect you for being in control.

    Good Luck!

  2. if you are really brainy and organized person then go for it.But make sure you dont over stress yourself and maybe have a talk with your mum or dad.
