I have a draft coming up and I have the 4th pick. If Tomlinson, Peterson, and Westbrook are gone, should I take Marion Barber or Steven Jackson?

These are the two I have narrowed it down to, so don't bother suggesting someone else.

Here are my leagues rushing rules:

10 point(s) for each touchdown.

4 point(s) for each 2-point conversion.

5 bonus point(s) for scores from 10 to 34 yards.

10 bonus point(s) for scores from 35 to 100 yards.

1 bonus point(s) each 10 total yards, starting with 10 yard(s).

5 bonus point(s) for 25 or more attempt(s).

5 bonus point(s) for 10 or more yard(s) per rush. (minimum of 10 rush(es) required)

2 point(s) deducted for each 1 fumble(s) lost, starting with 1 fumble(s) lost.

  1. I would take Jackson he is the Rams number one offensive weapon and he is a multipurpose guy while Barber is a guy who won't play on passing downs because he can't catch and he might not be the every down guy with Jones behind him so I would pick Jackson.

  2. That's easy - Jackson! Marion Barber just doesn't match him yet and Dallas isn't happy with him.

  3. I would take Jackson for sure.  There is certainly nothing wrong with Marion Barber, but Jackson has been going 3rd or 4th and barber like 6-9th pick.  The specific reasons - Barber is going to be splitting carries with Felix Jones, looking at stats Jackson gets more carries and wil continue to. Plus, he just signed his contract today.

    Consider Addai b/f Barber.

  4. jackson

  5. jackson all the way

  6. Take Stephen Jackson. He is one of the best. He is a beast. Marion Barber is good but not as good as Jackson. They are both alike in running people pver but Marion Barber is sharing the ball with Felix Jones. (not that i think he would do as good as jackson not sharing) He will have a lot of goal line carries but thats all. Felix do all the running. Although he wasn't part of the question....Joseph Addai wouldn't be a bad idea either.

  7. Well I hate to be the first person to say this , but take Barber. Not that Jackson is a bad choice, but look how Larry Johnson fared last year after holding out, took him 4 weeks to get more than 60 yds rushing. I just feel that with that high of a pick you don't want to hope for a guy to be in game shape, you want one that's ready to fly out of the gates right now.
