Should I take Business Studies for A-Level?

When I go to Uni, I'm either gonna take medicine or business but if I don't get the grades I need for medicine I may opt for Business, I've taken maths, biology and chemistry but should I take Business Studies? There is a Uni that does the course, Accounting and Business and it does not have any preferred subjects, but would it be an advantage to take it. However, I've heard that Business Studies isn't liked by many Universities because of it being an 'easy' A-level?

  1. I think most decent universities more-or-less disregard any A Level that ends in the word Studies.  It's not really going to give you much of an advantage if you decide to go into a business related-degree.  Doing Economics (if your college offers the subject) might be relevant though.

I'd suggest picking a subject you really loved at GCSE (if that is Business Studies, then do that).  Preferably not another science subject though, as a balance is important.  A language with Maths, Biology and Chemistry would be a pretty good combination.

Or you could go halfway; do an AS Level in Business Studies and another AS the next year in a different subject.

    And good luck with everything!
