Should I take Chemistry Honors or Physics Honors?

Hi,

I am going to be in 10th grade this year and I am not sure if I should take Chemistry Honors or Physics Honors. I want to be a doctor, but a large percentage of people in my grade said chemistry is much harder than physics. I am taking 6 honors classes already, so I want to take the easier class, but also have more interest in it.

Do you have any advice/suggestions?

Thanks!

  1. Chemistry is much more important for being a doctor, since you will have to take chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry in college and get good grades. You will only have to take one year of physics.

However, most people struggle with chemistry. If you think you can't handle it this year, you should save it for next year.

Actually, you really should take chemistry in your junior year. When I started college, we had to take placement tests to get into chemistry. Most of the people who took chemistry in their sophomore year failed the test and had to take an introductory class that doesn't count toward graduation.
