Should I take a backpack the first day of high school?

I already have my backpack bought, and my binders, pencils, etc. I was just wondering if it would be alright to haul in my backpack on the first day? (which is this Monday!) =p

So... any suggestions?

yes take it with u just in case they give out the textbooks. u don't want to regret it later.

were I live freshman's start a day earlier then grades 10-12. I got a flyer in the mail yesterday and they said for the freshmen day to not bring my backpack or school supplies so if your first day is just for freshmen then no you don't need anything the first day, but I would call the school and check just ot be sure because it might be different. But the next day when all grades come in is when I would bring school supplies with backpack

for papers and forms

I started school August 6th and about 25% of about 1400 kids at my school had a backpack.  I had mines on because I looked cool with or with a backpack and I knew that my AP teacher was going to give me a big book so I brought it.  If you are 1 of coolest or have a good outfit I suggest that you should wear it but if you're a geek or unpopular I suggest leaving the backpack at home.

I would.  You'll have plenty of books to haul around by the end of the day, and homework too. which means you'll have bring some of them home.  Good luck!
